some ? on wire wheels

I'm kinda curious about getting wire wheels. I have a 64 impala that will be on airbags soon. I've wanted to put 20's on since I really like that look on the old cars, but now I'm not so sure. So my questions are: How are wires on the highway? What's the ride like at 70mph? How do they hold up under hard acceleration? Cornering? Will it handle worse than the boat it already is?
That's all I can think of now, thanks for any input.
Oh, not sure on sizes either..any reccomendations?

If you ask me they are just like any other rim. Just take care of them and stay away from them curbs..

if you go with 20's and bags, your handling will be reduced and you may lose HP due to the larger wheels...Good luck
