Id be suprised if they are candy paint.......some fool coated my gold wires with lacquer before they were sent over here to England. Needless to say, the lacquer started peeling off even before I got the ride on the road and they were exposed to the weather.

The spokes are powder coated. they make tons of candy colors. paint wont stick to the rims, it will flake off if you do. You can either get transparent of non-transparent powder coating. couple of places i know that does the powder coating. where i get my frames done they have a thick catalog of colors. my rim guy has a decent pamplet but not like the place that does my frames. plenty of nice colors out there. next time they send your rims see if they can get this special paint they on rims when they gold plate them. you brush it on like paint, but peel it back like rubber once its hard, that way you dont scratch it all up in shipping. it usually orange or red.

Yep! Powder Coat

My buddy had his frame done. It came out tite as hell. Frame matches his spokes. Looks like a candy aqua. Pretty tough too. His sat in the yard for a couple of months in the rain and still blingz!

Man I got black powdercoated cnady barrels on my bike spokes and I ride my lolo through the snow and they are great. They are powdercoated but look candy. The bling real had and look clean as hell on regular chrome spokes but I think I'll take em off and put regular chromes on for Casper. If I got powdercoated rims they'll put me in Rdical class with the Big Boys... I ain't ready for all dat yet...

see even i was taught a lesson or 2 in this thread!

its painted rims..

powdercoating is painting.... covering.. coloring the part you are doing with the powder.. i am not sure of the process... but it is stronger than painting...
