I was reading an interesting article on fuel in Europe. It was saying the 70% of the fuel cost there is government taxes as it is only 11% here in the states.

but the article basicly stated that the government (us) is creating the gas shortage fear and because of that and the americans buying into such fear based propaganda that is what is causing the demand to soar and the price per barrel is merely going because of the demand

Here in holland, 85% is tax. A few years back we had to pay 1 dollar on a gallon extra, and we would get it back when the economic crises was over. NOPE we won't get it back. THIEFS, sent them politicians to the front in Irak.
