What does the battery read when car is turned off? The terminals will show power if the car is running and the alt is working because it just reads what the alt is putting out. have someone turn the car over while you read the meter and see if it drops.

Re: New...New...New

sounds like bad battery to me. if it reads a charge and will run on the alt but wont start, the battery is not holding a charge or enough charge. i would do a bettery swap and see what happens. swap the battery and turn on all the accesories. test and make sure the alt is charging the bat and car will restart after having been on for a while with accesories on.

Re: New...New...New

Well I think I am narrowing it down.....opened up voltage regulator and tapped on it a bit and now I am getting good voltage, but I do have a short somewhere....between the left turn signal and bright lights...
