What does the battery read when car is turned off? The terminals will show power if the car is running and the alt is working because it just reads what the alt is putting out. have someone turn the car over while you read the meter and see if it drops.

sounds like bad battery to me. if it reads a charge and will run on the alt but wont start, the battery is not holding a charge or enough charge. i would do a bettery swap and see what happens. swap the battery and turn on all the accesories. test and make sure the alt is charging the bat and car will restart after having been on for a while with accesories on.

Ok here is where we stand,....another NEW voltage regulator, and thank god for lifetime warranty alternators.....I get the car going again and damn same thing,,...So I start unhooking connectors under dash and nothing... So I unhook the tan wire to the horn relay switch and CHA CHING....13.5 to 14 volts constant....so something was grounding out alway back in steering column somewhere....fuck it do you really honk the horn that much? I dont...
