run a ground from the - bat. post,to the engine block,,and another one from the - post to the frame....u know its grounded good then.....sounds liked it might be the battery,,,i dunno,,,,,kinda weird

Yep your motor need to be grounded

there should be a grounding strap on the firewall if it is missing then you can just run a cable from the motor block to the frame

I have a digital voltage gauge in my car and it reads 12v at idle and 13v when I rev it and I know my grounding strap is not makeing a good connection so I need to run a cable from the motor to the frame to see if that will help my car. I drive my car almost every day so it always starts but when I first upgraded my alt. it was 13v at idle and 14v at rev

the way it is now.....Neg...is going to engine block....on back of engine is a wire going to firewall..

thats good if you have it grounded to the motor

have you checked your starter connetions?

that why I have a internial regulator, so there is only 1-wire off the alt. going straight to the batt.

Slammed can you go out and start your car adn put your digi volt meter across the battery at idle again and give me the exact voltage you are getting?
