Re: ????Mad Questions???
ok so im tryin to work a deal with this dude for a white 65 4 door impala, minor body work to be done, rebuilt engine and tranny(thats transmission not transexual custom), needs a electric fan and new batts for the dros. im tryin to figure out why he took the panhard bar off and sold it. i do know it limits the dros to get low but if so what do you do to correct the body roll? i know there probably is some right? or will i be stuck and have to sacrifice the roll for the lows?

Re: ????Mad Questions???
If it was me and I was looking for a project car again. I would first be looking for the wagons. And especailly the panel wagon with no windows in the sides. They were used as delivery cars. I also found a 1959 chevrolet stage way wagon in Preston Idaho. It has 8 doors! four on each side. It's the coolest car ever! It was a tour limo back in the 60's to haul people around on tours at yellowstone. There was a company that made them back east for chevrolet. They were only used in the national parks and very very rare. They are like a brookwood wagon made into a limo. but it was factory stock not a custom. i called Impala Bob's in Arizona asking about it and he was shocked and said he has never seen one only heard of it and wanted to know where it was and everything. I went back to buy and the old farmer had moved it back in the barn and told me he decided not to sell. But it's still there to this day. Some day I'm going to get it. So I'd personally try and pick up a wagon over a four door first. Just look on e-bay and see how much they are going for these days!

Re: ????Mad Questions???
If you are looking for a two door in the years 65-69 there are plenty here in Idaho. To bad your far away and you could pick one up easy. This guy is selling two 65's one two door and one four door impala. I think it was 1,500 for both of them. it's 1-866-461-8696 if interested. Oh and I still have my panhard on too.

Re: ????Mad Questions???
home boy its just this simple you buy a four door for 800 bucks dump 15,000 in to it and you will not be able to sell it for more than 1200 if your lucky.
do the same thing to a 2 door and you just made 30,000. ya dig? by the way there is a 61 or 62 four door for sale down the street. let me know if you interested. looks to be in realy good shape. hit me back |

Re: ????Mad Questions???
Harley's right about that. I went into my four door with the mind set of I'll be buried in it when I die. I really don't think I would sell it, so that is something to think about.
