Heroic Acts

I try to think of stuff to talk about on this forums like I was hanging out with my friends drinking beer tell each other stories like mr64majic when he asked “why the 64 Impala”
Stuff like that so. This is one of my stories

Do you or anyone have a true story about a heroic act even if you don’t think it was heroic the person you help think it was?

This is one of my stories

Just the other day I was coming home with my mother in the Impala and there is no one else around but my mother and me and about 100 feet in front of us a car ran a stop sign and t-boned a SUV in the front fender the crash was so violent my first thought was someone is hurt bad. The car bounce of the SUV sending the SUV right through some signs and into a tree and the car after spinning around started to roll down hill right for my car I swerved out of the way and slammed on the brakes jump out of my car and ran down the hill after the car it was moving slow but it was picking up when I caught up to it I yelled “pull the E-brake pull the E-brake” but the Girl was in shock she look at me like I was speaking a different language so I jump in the window right over her lap and yanked the E-brake just before the car roller into a parked car. I asked if she was ok and she said “I don’t know” all of this happened in a few seconds but seamed like minutes as I was reaching for my cell phone to dialed 911 as I was running over to the SUV to check on that driver I got over to the other Lady and asked if she was ok but she was in shock also and look at me like I was a not from this planet so I asked again “are you ok” I said she replied with ”I don’t know” at that time my cell phone made a connectshion with 911 and a recording came on and said if this is a emergency press 1 so I press 1 and then the recording said all operator are busy please hold I thought to my self what the fuck are you for real then the operator came on and I told her what happened and they dispatched the Fire Department that was around the corner I could have ran there faster than it took to call. The Lady in the SUV had to go to the hospital the Girl in the car was ok. I don’t consider my self a hero but the drivers of the two cars do

Re: Heroic Acts

My brother told me last weekend coming back from Salt Lake they were coming through this little town called Mantua, they watched a 19 year old girl riding a full chopper motorcycle and dump it on the high way and got pretty messed up. My sister in-law was with him and was on her was back from work at Primary Childrens Hospital. She is almost finished with her nursing degree. The EMT showed up and one knew wha the was doing and the other had no clue and was just a trainee on her first day. My Brother stopped and my sister in-law helped the EMT get her off the road and get the blood stopped until the abulance arrived. It took a good 40 minutes to get the ambulance from the nearest city. I guess my sister in law saved her. My brother said it was an all chrome chopper with pearl with paint a very expensive bike, but the girl was young and couldn't handle the power and the high handle bars and the low bike. I guess it was pretty crazy.

Re: Heroic Acts

There is only one person who I concider to be a "HERO". I was about 23 years old and hangin out with my brothers, ands some friends. Me and my lil'bro were pullin back into the parking lot laughing about some vato gettin his ass kicked by 6 or 7 guys. By the time I came to, my dad had carried me home, and my other brothers told me that when I pulled up at the park it was "Marc", my younger brother gettin his ass kicked and that I ran up and started throwin chingasos. Next thing you know it was me gettin my ass beat. My dad was there in seconds, but I had already been beat to the tune of three weeks in the hospital. The day I was released from the hospital my ol'man was released from the local jail for puttin 4 of those putos in the hospital, and one in intensive care. This memory is for you "POPPI".................(Martin Alfred Atilano 1941-2005) You leave behind a proud family.

Re: Heroic Acts

I gotta give thanks to the people of the Methodist Church in Corpus Christi Tx who had just got outta church just I was run up on by three gang members that had been watching me as I was leaving a friends house. I got stabbed through the chest with his knife and they ran off. As I was laying there bleeding like crazy, the church doors opened and they got the ambulance there super quick. It was on Ash Wednesday 1997 and I'll never forget the people of the church that day save me. I have the scar to remind me of His saving grace. I was on the news that night and the paper the next day. I was very lucky an inch down and I'd had it right in the heart. Guess I'm now a geto vet.

Re: Heroic Acts

i don't call this a heroic act, i call it doing my job but i'll tell it anyways. it was march 2003 the war was getting ready to kick off, well we entered iraq through the border from kuwait. i was driving an old ass 5-ton truck, we had modified the tires to radials for the highways, and we had put 3 inch thick steel plates along the bed of the truck for protection, we bolted some bradley plates which are about 3 inches of steel to the doors also for protection. it was me driving and my gunner who was sticking out topside of the truck with a 50 caliber fully auto bad ass gun, he had about 1000 rounds of ammo up there and there were about 1000 more on the seat below him. in the back of the truck we had repair parts for days tires starters, alternators, radiators you name it we had it in the back. when you dont know what situation you are going into you prepare for the worse. we were rollin, where to the center of baghdad iraq. we got there in 2 and a half days, driving literally all day long sleeping 3 hours under my truck the gettin on the road when it was still dark. well we finally pulled into the heart of baghdad, there were so many people on the streets. this was my first expierence with iraqi people and i was scared. a call came over the radio to myy truck, a flatbed trailer had to stop cause the brakes were on fire on the trailer and they wanted us to stay back with them and fix the shit while they left and we could catch the next convoy movin through. why because we had the only big gun to take anything out. we were scared really i have to admit i thought i was gonna get smoked that day. so we finally put the brakes out and i got underneath the trailer to overide the airbrake system so the tractor could pull it freely and we could roll. just then i noticed the people started leaving the street was gettin empty, for those who have been you know some shit is about to hit the fan when the people leave. my gunner was parinoid he was spinning the 50 in the turret like a mad man ready to blast on anything. i locked and loaded and got ready for it to. seemed like forever sitting there waiting. then it happened they were lobbing mortor rounds trying to hit us, it was on they came over the radio to get the hell out of the area so we were yelling for the tractor to move first and we were gonna take the rear. the driver missed the gear stalled it and now it wont start. i said oh shit we are done, dudes were firing at us now with american m-16's and ak's, you can tell by the noise the bullet sounds. my gunner was opening up it was crazy the tractor was trying so hard to get started i remember seeing smoke coming from the front of the truck the starter was smoking. we finally were able to smash out and get the hell outta there safe. i didnt realize it but i pissed my pants really. but we definatly chopped some iraqi fools down that day. so please if you come accross and army soldier just thank them for all they do it really means alot i know it does, alot of soldiers are just doing there job for this country, and we do a damn good job. i still got scars on my back, when you are sitting below a big gun like that the shell casing drop down and they are really hott some jumed down my shit and melted onto my skin. i didnt feel it cause when you are scared you dont feel nothing.
