okay okay I'll admit to MC HAMMER too. The dude could dance though...Can't touch this.
Also liked TONE LOC and Young MC. I got to hang out with them at a club once after their concert.

PM Dawn...now that IS soft core rap.

dawg we on the same page you brought back alot of memories. i love the old school(classics), man fuck that one hit wonder bubble gum rap these days. people think as long as its bassin then it is alright, true to a point i like to flex my subs now and then , but what happened to all the lyracists, the ryhmes flowed and the beats were hype? really do you really want to hear about homeboys princess cut diamonds in his mouth with his stank breath, or how you got your paint drippin off and shit homie if your paint is drippin you got ripped the fuck off...lol, the i got this i got that rhymes never been tight with me they just tryin to sell records. can't knock the hustle but what happened to the icons of hip hop, the lyracists, the ones who straight up punk you in a battle. i'm talkin about dudes like this is why im hott, you from new york, you flowin on a west coast track, and what did it was you say you can sell a mill sayin nothin on a track, who is this guy.........nas said it best hip hop is dead.

Re: Old skool rap for us old skool guys

Just finished listening to these guys on my way to work.

Candy man (still end up knockin da boots.)
5th ward boys (Houston)
Paper boy (Do the diddy) love that jam
Geto boys (six feet deep)
LL cool J (mama said knock you out)
rappin for tay ...I think that's how it's spelled.
Wu-tang
DOMINO (when was the last time you heard that?) I'm that guy and she's so fly wanna get a piece of that sweet potato pie.

Guys now days don't apprecite this music. I go to Walmart and hear these guys roll up with their windows down with thier spinner Hubcabs and half assed body kits bumping tunes. My girl always wonders why they bug me so bad. It's cause they roll up thinkin thier bad asses but they punk out when you step to em all posers and front'in. How they hell can you roll up as a bad ass bumping Nelly with Tim Mcgraw, or ERE body in the club get tipsy. Or Snoop drop it like it's hot? I laugh my ass off. But when I roll up the BDFUP in my 64 I can see the silent respect and the true homies always come up to me and talk to me about my ride. I've been stabbed through the chest, I've earned my stripes as a Gheto Vet.
