New here...

wasup my name is jose im from east los angeles but i stay in 209 cali.
ive found out about this site and decided this is a perfect site for advise,
im 18 by the way..
ive just about finished my 92 honda accord EX , ive been into the street racing thing for about a year, but i got bored of my honda so i gave it to my sister its all fixed with exhaust, headers, CAI so and so,
my dad has a 1985 ford ltd crown victoria that thing has been sitting on the lot for like 6 years and has been rotting, well, the roof and the paint has...
ive decided to slowly fix it up to a unique lowrider, specially because we in our family have had alot of memories of my mom and the car together, that was our family car back in east los, and us kids when were growing up we wanna have the best shit, the best clothes, shoes, cars and shit like that, i mean me and my sisters used to be embarassed riding in that car when my dad would drop us off at elementary, now that my jefa passed away and ive matured ive learned to appreciate the car..
and many other things in life too.
the bad things on the car is the Vynil roof and the paint, thats about it the engine is good it just needs some maintenace, when i fix up rides i like the engine to be just as mean the paint job will be so i will start with the engine.
this saturday i will install new dist cap, rotor, spark plug wires, spark plugs, new valve covers(chrome), new air element(like a round filter on top of the carb.) new battery too.
thats not all, im planning on installing brand new camshafts on both sides of the engine, brand new hi performance radiator and fans. also brand new cat converter and brand new performance pipe to the back ending with a chrome tip.suspension wise, i just need the shocks for right now.
everything in the engine will be hi performance.
after that is the vynil roof at an upholstery place, and then off to the paint shop for an oriental kandy blue with mettalic flakes and pen striped, then right after the shop is the blue 100 spokes.
i know it sounds easy but it really isnt easy.
first off give me your opinons about a 85 ford ltd crown victoria being turned into a lowrider, a friend said if i ever wanted to put hydros it would be a last project and the frame would need to be reinforced.
would it look good on hydros or forget them?

Hello Jose,

A car should represent the individual and not what anyone else thinks...Be your own creater, ( which it sounds like you have good plans ) and go for it!!

As for the hydro's, it just really depends on how much hopping you are going to do if you reinforce or not. Forgive the dumb question but is that a full framed car?

right on man thanks alot for your advice i will try to get some pics soon.... as for the frame yeah its a full frame, and big body too.
as for hopping i dont plan go all crazy like the pros in the car clubs but i do want hydros for normal usage like side to side front back and a little hopping.i dont want airbags... my friend had told me to go for a two pump with eight batteries but let me know what is best for my type of usage...
also what will i need to upgrade suspension wise... thanks man.
