How hard is it to rebuild a carburetor?

its not to bad lots of little peices...... better off taking it to an auto shop the one here charges 50 bucks i think

I don't think it is that hard just very tiny jets and springs and stuff like that. Of course I have only done 1 and 2 barrell carbs no 4 barrel ones! Good luck!

To me, its not hard, but frustrating as hell and time consuming...But depends on how quick you need the rebuild too...Is it for the bird??

For the bird, yes. I think the float is fucked or the choke, I have to sit there and zoom zoom it until it gets warm before it will stay running on its own.

buy a good one from a junckyard for $50 w/warranty....

or take it and have it rebuilt lookin at about $90 total....

Sounds like the float is sticking or a needle valve is clogging up!
