In nearly every country around the world the speed limit is applicable from the signpost itself until you get to the next sign post, i don't see how you can enforce 'line of sight' what a load of bull.

Okay here it is, If you are rolling in a 35 zone and you see a 45 sign you still keep going 35 until you pass that 45 sign. When I'm working traffic I write for what zone you are in, not the one you are approaching.. Any other way would not be legal. Think of it like this. If your are playing football and you get tackled on the 48 yard line that does not mean you get 50 yards.
