go with the ps2 for brit. she can still play all her od games, and you can too, and if you see a new you like, then the whole family is happy... a ps2 was my first dvd player i liked it, you can get remotes for it and shit....

I would say PS2! More game variety for kids and adults! If you were just going to buy it for her I Game Cube is good for kids because that is who it is aimed at! It really depends on her age and if you are going to play it too!
