Question 79 Monte Carlo "Mexicano Orgullo"

Has anyone ever seen the way he has the body of that MC have 8 inch cylinders lift the body off the frame to show off more of the frame?? Thats cool as hell...Just wondering could that work while street driving???

im sure it could be done. just dont try doing the "ad hoc" or "brute force" method of engineering. have to really think about weight, forces, impact loads when driving. i sure wouldnt drive like that with the body cylinders locked up, unless i truely broke down the mathematics to insure it could handle it.

yea there is no springs around the cylinder for cushion...guess its not streetable

the car the way it sits would just shift. all that is going to happen is your going to bend up the frame, bend the cylinders. you cand do it, just have to machine it. i know of some cylinders coming out that would help that.

yea that car is tight....i took better pics then LRM did, as far as lighting n shading....saw it at the shop the other day and i like wat he is doin to it.

I doubt the frame and cylinders would bend. I asked my friend who works on hydraulics and he said there isnt enough weight to bend the cylinder, while just lifting the body. The frame is pretty strong.
