Question CV Joints

Do large or wheel wheels put more stress on CV Joints...My front left went out and has thrown grease everywhere...

yes, i know that's the case on 4x4's anyway. i've replaced a couple on my 4x4 because of the big wheels.

my honda needs them replaced ...so i say large wheels since it had 17inch enkeis on it....

Thats sucks...Man i have grease all over the damn place...Nice 3 day weekend to fix a CV Joint i guess!!!

i wouldnt think the wheels would play that big a factor, reverse off sets, and lowering the car is what puts a strain in them,,,, now if you had 3 different sizes of front wheel on your car, then yeah maybe... but what hurts them is when you lower the car and put the joints in a bind, or haveing them ridding at a bad /- -\
angle all the time. so no i dont believe the wheels would cause that, unless they are reverse and put too much pressure on the bearings.
