new to the game

Hey i have a car that i plan on flipin to a lowrider after i graduate from college but i got a few questions. Well my car is a 1984 cadillac seville is in good condition and only 50k miles. alright here goes the Q's

1.Why have i never seen a car like this one as a lowrider lol? is sometin wrong with it?

2.I dont wanna be hoppin really i just wanna be able to raise/lower the front and the back and bounce a lil bit u know. should i go with air or hydraulics? what kinda setup?

3.What colors do u think would look nice on it?

4.lastly how much can i plan on spending including the rims and if i paint it.

Re: new to the game

Cost will be up to you as far as what you want to buy and what kind of wheels and paint you gonna put on it. Dont think your gonna do the whole car and have it tight as hell with a couple grand. Should plan on 2-3 G's for the suspension between 4-600 for some cheap wires with tires and the paint and body cost will be totally up to you on how straight you want to get it and what kind of paint you want to put on it.

As for the car...... Sorry but thats just one of the bad idea's caddi had. not a slam against you just my personal opinion. There are loads of better looking cars out there to be built besides that one and i think allot of others feel the same way as they dont build them either. But all that really matter is what you like so if your like the car fuck everyone else. Some people dont like my cutty but I do.

I'm sure others will have some input for you too.

You should know the streets you drive on and where the bumps and dips are. If you dont you will learn real quick! have to know your car and where it sits to the ground to be sure to to bottom out on shit.

Re: new to the game

that car is front wheel drive with the motor facing forward, so I think it will be tricky to put lifts on the front. I had a 83 Eldorado, good car but the way the trans. is and the front axle assemblys you may run into some problems.

1. Most people go oldschool or G-bodies. I believe your car has a
torsion bar and that maybe the reason why. I really havent messed
with caddy's so dont qoute me on that.

2. Personal Taste. Some people will say air some will say hydro

3. Personal Taste. Im a fan of metallic paints and the cadillac pearl white
and thats only cause I cant afford a true candy paint job!

4. Hydro basic install is 2,000. Wire wheels I always roll 13's from 350 to
2,000 with tires. Paint all depends on what you want and how much
bodywork is involved. Im no painter but if it has no bodywork and you
want it done correctly most people or shops will charge 1,500 on up for
a basecoat/clearcoat.

lol naw i wouldnt even try to 3 wheel it. All i really want is to be able to raise and lower and since the interior is grey leather i dont wanna change it. feels so comfortable so for paint i was thinkin of that paint that changes colors in different lights i think (i forgot what is called) would any one happen to know how much that paint job would go for?
