Pulled the bed off on Saturday and powerwashed the frame and everything. pulled all the side chrome off.

I just picked up the short bed for it last saturday for $300 bucks. So I'm well on my way to getting this project together. I'll hopefully get some picts up this weekend when I go to the shop.

a couple weeks back on sunday morning i seen on TRUCKS ,,they made a long bed into a short bed,,,,they cut the frame,and sectioned the bed,,,it looked real nice when they got done

hell yeah,,i was actually surprised to see the episode myself,,,,they were talkin bout how easy and cheap it is,to find a long bed in good condition for cheap,,,when the shortbeds are worth so much more,and they made it,and looked factory when done.....good luck on it

I didn't get to see it....but I caught on TIVO and will watch it when i get a minute,,,,,,I'm stuck in a situation now. I've coem this far on my project and I sold the bed box on Saturday for the long bed on ebay. My bro calls me up and tells me there is a short box complete truck for sale in the paper and he went and looked at it. They want 2000 for it so now I'm caught in the middle of do I continue down the shortening my long bed road or do I pick up this short box truck?????????SHIT why does this always happen to me? if I would have known just one day earlier i would have just put the box back on my long bed truck and sold it. Now I have a truck with no box......Sometimes I swear I was born not to win.
