Need help
Ok, so in less than a year I'm getting a car. And it's not really a low rider, but something in that style so I thought I'd ask here. Anyways the car will be a Chevy Caprice from 80's, not yet sure from which year I get it, and I want to get gold, maybe chrome, wire rims, but problem is I'm not sure which sizes would fit without the car's suspension having to be modified. I would also want a stereo system car, preferrably a new cd player, maybe new speakers, and of course subs, but as you probably guessed I don't know much about stereo systems either so I need help choosing one also. So please if you could give me suggestions on what to get feel free to, and I'm kinda on a budget so try not to think of the top-of-the-line stuff.

You can always go up a size or two on the rims if you get lower profile tires, assuming that's the look you're going for. If you're going with reverse offset, stick with 13's unless you're sure it won't rub when you hit bumps and potholes, stock suspension is kinda spongy. Good luck.
Stereo: Get a new cd player, and wire harness to hook it up (pick one up that matches the year of your car). Change out the speakers in the door/dash. They won't handle the new deck and'll sound like crap. Any speakers in the back deck can be ignored, used, or replaced, but they're really for rear fill, and not required, especially if you're using subs. If you want it to bump, get a 12" sub or two 10's, put a 500 watt amp on there and you're good to go. |
