I did it in the the cutlass before i took the a/c out . You can buy a kit at walmart that comes with everything you will need . You remove all the old freon . Put on the correct new adapters .Crank the car and turn a/c to high and fill with correct amount of freon that it is suppose to have in the car . The kit comes with the gauges too . I think it was like $30-$35 .

It blew pretty cold . I roll with the windows down most of the time anyways . I just wanted to see if i could get it to work. Plus it makes it alot more easy to change that last spark plug and that valve cover gasket on the right side without the heater/blower box in the way . Down side of that is you also lose the heater .

And also another thing. If a dealer wants you to switch everything over tell them no. There is a mix that you can use its R134A. They dont want to use this because it has butain mixed with it. What would you be more worried about the 1/10th of a ounce of butane or the 15 gallons of gas. Im sorry just venting. People try to ripp others off and it just pisses me off.
