| NOOB Needs Advice! Wassup all, I am new to this forum and am very interested to building my custom Lo-Lo. I have my eyes set on a 64' or a 65' Impala. I know practically nothing about these cars or what I should be looking to pay for them. I have a couple of basic questions that, hopefully you guys could help me out with. How much does a restoration cost? Including a nice airbag setup? What should look for when buying an old car? Any websites? This will be an every weekend driver (fri, sat, sun) and will be taken care of like a baby..Anything I should know? Is there any websites that I should go to first to learn more about these cars? Thanks guys, LL |

| Administrator | Just really depends on how deep you are going to get into the restoration.. If you do a complete frame off restore, you are looking into a lot of time and afew thousand dollars.... Quote:

| if you dont have upwards of 20 25 thousand dollas to spend.. then a 60s impala probably isnt a project for you.. getting a decent impala will cost you well over 10-15 thousand.. then you have to go from there... an airbag kit will cost you 800-1500 depending on what you want.. that doesnt include install or brackets... good luck.. |

| Thanks for the quick reply's Between the 20-25 g range is fine with me. I would be willing to put another 8-12 g's into the car once I recieve the vehicle. However I would like to do some work myself on the car. That is what makes it special right? I was at the Denver Lowrider show last weekend and it was bangin! Tony's Dream's Paint job was incredible. Any words of advice or tips? Since I am new to the forum any reply is appreciated. Thanks Homies, LL |
