for 20 bucks, ill add it to the engine...anyone know if these really increse HP like it says?

Mine is for show and not go...Mine is an LS automatic so im not burning up the streets by any means...

basically the filter on the end is less restrictive than the stock one so the engine can breath more easily, if the engine takes in more air, it will need more fuel to get the mixture right, this increased fuel/air combination in the chamber gives a stronger burn and therefore more power.

10hp at the flywheel is only about 2hp at the wheel mind you, but if you also add a better flowing exhaust and cams they will all work together giving a much greater improvement over stock.

as for looks..... nice one.

Yea, just for looks...Im an old school hot rodder if i want power...But the intake looks nice...The only downfall is you can here the filter whistling when you drive now...Any clues as to how to elimante this noise...The stock air filter was enclosed in a plastic box so no noise was heard while driving

GET THROTTLE BODY PLEASE I BEG!!!!! don't be a normal ricer and get exhaugst and intake throttle body is important too and has a really nice sound and about the whistle tight the clamps and readjust them.......that is all I can say without being there under the hood....
