Post MOTOR Question Someone help me

Im just starting to learn and dig into hydraulics I have a 64 impala with 2 street showtime pumps I recently had one pump leak hydraulic oil into my motor. Im not too sure how it leaked into it, there is the one o ring under the pump head on the block, it had a slice in it. I need to make sure that is the only thing or way it could have leaked by b4 I put on a new motor. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. april 23, 2003 <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

Well as long as you have the pump apart you might as well change all the orings. Also besure to check the seal..

Whats a good way to test the pump for leaks without throwing the pump back in to the vehicle?

If you have replaced all the o-rings and seals then that is about all the assurance you can do..Put it back in and hope for the best.
