Question Anodizing question???

Does anodizing mean to hold up against heat or rust??

Webster defines anaodize - coat a metallic surface by electrolysis with a protective oxide

Would chroming or anodizing last longer??

Well, like Webster says, it's a protective coating. But for aluminum.

Anodizing does for aluminum what chrome does for steel, except for looking shiny. Raw steel and raw aluminum both corrode.

To make aluminum shine like chrome, you have to remove the protective layer and polish it with successively finer grits. And polish it again on a regular basis. And again. And again......

dont anodize it, get translucent powdere coating. if you have a black car and want black, one can also break some good bread and get black chrome.
