| I don't know excatly what type of secrets ya need so I'll just post a 64 from the ground up... Hydros:But a hoppin Hydros complete super hopper kit and a 9.6 rechargable battery from radio shack. After it's purchased move one motor the the back in the trunk space and mover the other to between the firewall and the back of the front fenderwells. It's a tiny space so you'll have to mount them on their side. Make your gears for your motors and out scap plastic and have them be bigger, it makes the car hop at least an inch higher and back bumper harder. Also replace the buttons with toggle switches and be sure to use extensions... Use Test line 60 lbs for string. Interior:Just fuzzy fur from hoppin hydros with a chan steering wheel and a few t.v.'s. I do 2 tone usually tan and black, or green and white or whateva ya want Trunk:Make a custome trunk floor out of sheet strylene plastic and put fuzzy fur all over itand paint the motor that's back there. Instead of using wires from the motor use chrome paper clips sorta like hard lines, design them to be purty! Paint: Just primer, scuff the primer, a basecoat(I use either white or silver flake), and then candy, and then 6-8 coats of clear. Then wet sand with 600 grit sandpaper. Wheels: Hoppin hydros with pegusus whitewalls, their whitewalls last way longer than hoppin hydros. Also for candy spokes use a Sharpie marker to color the spokes or barrel or whateva. After all that It'll be done for... |

| Registered User | tip:... while doin interior, once u cover the seats, with your material, u can get a peice(s) of sewing thread, and soak it in the model glue, and then go around the seats with it..looks like a welt cord on the seats, a nice touch, changes the look entirely.. like if u do seats white u can do the cord in blue or sumthing and looks really good... ![]() |

How exactly is that done?</strong><hr></blockquote>yeah, u can also use sewing thread to do it..the friction from back and forth motion melts a clean cut..u can do doors too,,,takes time,,if u use thread, it breaks alot...but its best to let the thread or line do the cuttin and dont press hard or pull hard...friction does it, not force |

| [quote]Originally posted by juicedkandy: <strong>where is the best place to get good motors?</strong><hr></blockquote> Hoppin Hydros... They the one that makes these Johnson motors.... As for the thread I only use that on tight spots, for big trunks and stuff I use a razor blade to cut it. Also for piping on the interior I would use that string method but I usuall already have 2 colors when I lay down the fur but I'll try it though! Thanks for the ideas guys! |
