removing rust

ok.. one of my quarter panels is suffering from surface rust. I was wondering if there's anything I can use to remove it before I put it in my car.

Slamm will tell you how to keep it from coming back!!

As for removing it I think you just sand it off if its just surface rust.

Some parts doesn't come off. I wonder if I can use that rusted bullet right away. Do you know if the panels have to be 90-95% rust free before I spray that rust bullet?

Re: removing rust

have you tried hitting it with a scotch brite pad on a die grinder like you would to clean off a gasket? or a wire wheel? If its just surface rust it will come off.

All you have to do is make sure there is no oil or dirt before you spray Rust Bullet. You do not have to get the rust off, Rust Bullet will kill the rust and prevent it from coming back.
