interior needs covering but how????
hey guys i'm new to this sh*t so bare with me for a few. I have a 79 malibu that i was customizing. i got the engine, and paint done but the interior is all stock and pretty shady looking. i was looking into covering it with a tweed or just any plain clean looking cloth but how do you guys get cloth so tight and clean around premolded interior plastics??? whats the secret? is a stretchy cloth better. thanks

well.....
tweed.... stretches good,, cuz its like woven material, and stretches to curves,, vinyl.... is rubbery kinda and if u use a heat gun very carefully,,u can make it stretch and form into curves aswell... crush....doesnt stretch at all,,,the only way to find yourself gettin out of hard to get spots and peices are to wrinkle it up and do all of it wrinkle style... few things to make sure of is....make sure u clean the peices really good,,,i use laquer thinner...u want to get all oil/grease cleaned off,,next thing is use a good glue,,not spraycan glue,,,,get some good quality contact cement,,if u have access to air compressor ,buy a cheap gun to spray it out of...hope this helps some.....
