| ok after you have cut the bad area, test fit new piece and make any necessary adjustments. when you are ready weld the new metal, using clamps and vise-grips hold the new piece where it needs to fit, remember to tack weld around the piece in a random places so the new metal doesnt get to hot and warp. once the piece its there you want to basically fill in the blanks between your tack welds with more tack welds only tack weld very important. continue this procedure until all tack welds are connecting to one another grind smooth and apply a coat of fiberglass kitty hair and then follow with bondo to smooth out, primer and you are ready for paint. |
