What is the average cost of a basic single color paint job?

In my area,if there is not alot of bodywork and it is not a color change,it will run 1200-2000 depending on color and size of vehichle.

single stage paint,,i would charge bout 6-700 without bodywork,,,bodywork is based on how much work it actually needs,,,,very minor bodywork is included,,door dings and that type stuff,,anything over a door ding,,,price goes up,,,and if paint needs stripped completely down to metal,,,,i'd charge bout 600 just to strip it all down,alot of work,..

basecoat/clearcoat paint job,........,would run around 1200,with minor bodywork aswell (doordings),,and thats sayin it doesnt need to be stripped down

kandy paint....start bout 2000..

upgrades include: flake,patterns,airbrush

these prices include under hood,trunk,door jambs

In Clifornia prices start at 3500 for a cheap paint job and bout 4-6ooo 4 a good 1

fancy a 'bus mans' holiday to the UK to do a full kandy job with patterns and flake on my regal? i've been quoted £3500 for the paint alone without the time and effort required to apply it or prep the car !!
