Question Bowling Ball Paint Jobs

Might be referred to as something different by you all but i had this on my 61 and loved it...What is your overall opinion of this type of paint job

isn't that done with house of kolor 'marbleiser' or something ? its pretty cool aslong as the base coat contrast with the top coat is really subtle.

Question

Yea it has a marblizer with it...When i was in college, we would use a base coat of black and then come back with the candy color we would use and use saran wrap to give it the design...Not sure how others do it but thats how we used to do it about 6 years ago

Its still done the same, although you get different effects if you use different materials on the paint, i.e. scruched up plastic carrier bags work well.

I like the marbalizer but I had I guy tell me about a new sceme on the paint that makes it look like you take a piece of ice and put it in water. He said you sprayed water on the paint and then wiped it off.

This is the way I've heard it done, we used to build model cars and paint them this way.

thats still how ya do it..house of color marbalizer and saran wrap work well......

not my style but it is different , u know how those "old school" ppl are. i do have that look on some of my graphics ,he used a plastic bag.a lot cheaper than marbalizer i guess
