not to be a know it all or nothin but if u spray with the enamel heres what u do
step 1 = mix the paint and spray it in fog coats till u get full coverage of the car/truck not to much it does not have to be all shinny just yet ......
step 2 = go to ur local paint and body supply house and get you 2 cans of bulldog adhesive promoter
step 3 = now take the adhesive and just fog the entire car,, this prevents fish eyes when u apply the clear
step 4 = get you a quart of innercoat clear to flake with it works better and cheaper than mixin the flake in the clear lol trust me been there done that......lol mix your flake and fog the car till you are happy with the amount of flake on there
step 5 = no more flake its clear time , if it was me and u want a good finish go over the car and clear it like 4 or 5 times with the 5th coat being your wet coat allow to dry
step 6 = wet sand with 1500 or 2000 grit sandpaper untill happy ithe the finish the buff out with some medium grit compound and then buff with a polishing compound then u r ready
just my 2 cents i hope it helps you later

Is that the same bulldog adhesive that you would spray on plastic bumpers? Let me get this clear. I need to spray the truck first with the paint then the adhesive then the clear. If so do I need to let the paint dry then spray it with the adhesive or do i let the paint get tacky then spray????Thanks

I told the lady at the paint store what i was going to do with the bulldogg and she said it would fish eye. I just got it anyway because if that was true I would think that it would fish eye on a plactic bumper.

More bad news from local paint shop. He told me that the paint would lift if I let it dry and then sprayed the clear on. Is that what the bulldog prevents? These shops here never try anything, they are stuck on one type of paint.
