Howdy.
I've been thinking of redoing my '84 tbird for about a year or so and I have started making up some solid plans just recently. I'm ultimately going by the car's nickname, The Tank. The exterior wil be in a (hopefully) unique camo design and I'm going to make new front seat covers out of camo materials using the old covers as a template. Now, my problem is I'm on a rather tight budget and don't have the means to remove the rest of the interior and replace it with my chosen color palete So, here's my question, are there any dyes or stains out there specifically for cars? The interior consists of carpet and a sort of pleather material. Another reason I don't want to rip out the old interior is, on the back seats, there is the classic thunderbird emblem derived from the pleather-like material. Signed, Dice Here's an Adobe version of how I hope the interior will turn out in the end. Now, it's a little dark, but I think you'll get the jist of it... ![]() Last edited by IceDice; 06-17-2004 at 05:14 PM. |

Pensacola...
I don't even think my car could make it to florida, lol.
Naw, just kidding. Thanks for the comments. Y'all both make very good points about the dye. I'm not exactly sure what I'm gonna do, I hope to work in a shop or a car upholstery business sometime, so, until then, this bird is grounded. |
