Question Molding in a bodykit?

I have a 1985 camaro..i got a bodykit on it...when they put it on I never thought about getting it molded on for that cleaner look.....n now im considering it..but I have hydraulics.....will this affect things...im afraid that beacuse of all the movement n bouncyness the stuff used to mold on the kit will crack n start falling off?? I didnt know if i should post this here or body n paint...if i messed up will sumone move it please! Thanks for any help!

molding a body kit will not affect anything unless you hit the ground...Then it will come loose

no

i would get it molded. i have a 94 accord and its molded in. Part of the kit needs to be fixed and i have to get all the molding removed from the back fix the bumper and repaint a lot. dont do it unless you leave a hair line crack.

Rich, how well were you able to hide the pop rivets?

Hi I am molding my kit on my car right now and I have a Del Sol. I installed brakets underneath the car that hooks to the bumper (brackets for front rear and sides). This will decline the movement of the bumper so the molded part wouldn't crack off. Also try to use fiberglass to bond two peices together that will definately not crack unless its is literally ripped off.
