front installation

Hi,
I've been busy with school and work but I should be more active in a week or two. I'll try to add pics to explain myself better. Chris showed me some pics of how the front is done. I'm still not sure how the front is being pushed up. What's pushing it up or where is it being pushed up? All I see is the cylinder and where it's sitting from Miser's pics. I'll try to add the pics here later. I also have another question but I'm gonna have to make pics first because i'm not sure what that part is called.

Re: front installation

there should be like a donut thing that goes to around the cylinder and sits in the frame's spring cup. At least I think that’s how it works, I have never done hydraulics so don’t quote me.

you see how the cylinder is sitting on top of the cups now. that will go directly on top of the spring. see the 4 circle plates in the middle with holes cut out. That will go directly over the top of the cylinder and sit on the collar of the cylinder. If you have regular cups like the ones pictured you will have a gap of about 1inch with the cylinder put together. When you send fluid to the cylinder it will extend pushing against the spring cup and the spring cup pushes against the spring. the best way to do it is bust out the box of stuff you got and pull the lay the springs on the floor put you cup on top of the perfectly flat side. stick the cylinder on top of that. then take your donut and slip it over the top and look at it and picture in the car.

Re: front installation

I wonder if those donuts comes with the kit because I didn't get those if you look here Here's my kit but I got alittle problem with this . Plus, the other set of cups have a small hole and it's making me wonder for a month now where it's supposed to go but I couldn't post and ask questions due to school and work. I guess i'm gonna have to call Ron again and set my order straight. Are those the right cups? I'll take pics again if you need.

the ones with the big hole go on the rear they actually go over the top of the cylinder and sit on the collar like a donut. You should have got 4 donuts like the ones pictured. Man I have never heard of any one having as much trouble with a kit from black magic. Give him a call im sure he will fix it.

I thought my problem is done. I'm gonna have to pm the guy tonight and call him tomorrow. What about the cups with small holes? Is that for the front but where is that supposed to sit? It's probably gonna take few weeks to get my stuff. I didn't even bother getting a replacement for the tank and get the plugs because it was taking long. I just pm'med the guy and told him to forget about it. Goodthing I haven't bought the plugs yet because it looks like i'm still missing parts lol. Do you see the cup with a small hole? Is that the right one for the front? because i'm gonna bring that up too if it's the wrong one.

I'll try to post better pics tomorrow.

cups with the small holes is for the front if you take the cylinder shaft it will fit right in there and then you bolt it from the other side. if dont get the tank plugs just go to any industrial hydraulic shop they will have some shouldnt be more than 5-6 bucks. I have some chrome ones here if you need some.

Re: front installation

you will not need them for the rear since you are doing coilover. I would just get all 4 that way you can double up the front ones.
