NO.....if you don't know what a steel seal is ask your dad. Get a new seal smear some oil resistant silicone or gasket sealant on the block wear it goes and tap it in the correct way its supposed to be. Wipe away excess. Put the gear on torque down and let it cure 24hrs before you add oil to it. or order a quad seal from BMH and use that, but the words from there mouth was it really isn't needed if you do it the way I stated above.

alright i see ill give that a try.. but i dont think its comin from there man cuz my key didn have any oil on it or there was no oil in that genral area, it almost seemed like if it was coming from the base of my return but its tight and was supposed to have teflon on it.....

so am i BMH piston and i called to by the quad seal and they told me I didnt need it cause they rtv silicone them shits in and it works fine.

Ive had the problem were my motor got fucked up from oil and I thought it was the steel seal, took the motor off and no oil on the back plate or in the shaft hole. Come to find out one of my lines that were disconnected at one point in time dripped on the end of my ballbearing cap and found its way into my motor. Now I cap and plug everything before I do anything.
