pumpmotors

hello, I'm gonna need two new pumpmotors, but what is in yours opinion the brand, they have to have 48 volts and 220 amps. I'm not that fan of pro hopper.

I didnt even see this. Prohopper has the best out there for the price SACO Comps. I would get some SACO COMPS or the CCE Motor. Both are really good and cost about the same.

BlackMagic sold both styles when I called about a month ago, but not sure if they still have the SACO anymore. I just ordered a piston pump yesterday from them and it has the CCE MOTOR on it so i know they have those

Whats wrong with the motors you have now?

Re: pumpmotors

i have normal pro hoppers (china?) but no saco, i've heard before that they were good, mine are after a few times lets say 6/7 weeks burning and sparkling flames, I rebuild them but still have the same problem, i use them heavy, but its my third set. They worn out very fast

Wow that is bad. Its only at 48v? Do you have oil in the motors at all. I would honestly gets some saco comps or the cce motor you shouldnt have any problems. Oh yeah when you are playing do you motors get extremely hot and are you hopping at all. When i say hopping i mean getting into it and getting some inches.

get some saco comps and drill a hole put a nut and bolt to make a post towards the bottom and ground it with some lugs and cable to your pump rack where your bolt your pump to.

I did this and noticed my front motor didnt get as hot as fast and it runs at 72v.

Re: pumpmotors

That's new to me, but makes sense. I will try that with the old ones first (tryout) can't ruin them more, and then on the new saco's. Thanks for this idea.

When I yank my pump out I will take some pics of the motor and the inside of the motor.

Re: pumpmotors

that would be nice, because I was wondering what's the best place to put the bolt in. I'll be waiting.
Thanks

Re: pumpmotors

Here are 2 I snagged real quick since I dont think my pump will be in next week. All i did was drill a hole at the bottom maybe an inch up. There supposed to be a way of actually grounding it with the fields in the motor itself, but I dont know how to do it and dont want to mess up a $100 motor.
