stock caprice shaft? what will happen?

Finally got ahold of 80's Caprice a-arm. Still can't find a regal shaft so if anyone can get this. Let me know.

What will happen if you use a caprice shaft instead of replacing it with regal?

Re: stock caprice shaft? what will happen?

hey i just read the tech article. Dont take it literally you dont need a regal shaft. It should read g-body shaft aka regal, cutlass, elcamino, monte, grand prix, and s-10 arms are actualy g-body arms also. just cut out the center of the arm take out the caprice shaft and put the g-body shaft in there with caprice bushings and tighten it up. when you tighten it up it will bring the two sides closer together. then weld the plate on top and you are ready to slap the ball joint in there and bolt it in? Any questions just pm me its been a couple years since ive done it but i still remember most of the olds and ends.
