problems

i have recently bought new gell filled batteries on my four pump set up.I had a switch hang up on my switch box and it melted the terminal on my battery i had the battery cheked and it was still good, but now when i try to plug in my quick disconnect it arcs up does anyone know what might be causing this?

the bad battery arcs or the quick disconnect arcs?

Something's wired wrong or touching ground? If the arc is bigger than the usual when hooking things up to a car electrical system, something might be touching the car body or a negative lead or something.

if there is an arc on your disconnect something is tryign to power up, are you sure the switch hung up ? could it be another switch also knackered, or maybe a solenoid or pair of solenoids jammed the first time rather than the switch and its still jammed ?
