To better narrow down the problem I would have to ask, is there oil leaking on the ground anywhere? Is the popping coming from the bed of truck or near the cyclinder?

That pretty much tells me its not the cyclinder. Next thing I would do is replace all the O-Rings in the dump assemble that is for that wheel.

You can get an oring at any hardware store, just match yours up.

undo the knurled nut on the outside of the dump cartridge, it should only be finger tight (remember this when you rebuild it).
Slide the black cartridge off the valve to reveal a big hex nut done up against the block, undo this (make sure the truck is 'dumped' all around before you start any of this mind) and slide the dump valve out of the block, take the 'o' rings off and then replace them.

it really is that simple !

Unity Jon....
Thanks for the info..... it works, but it still drops a little but not as fast as it used too.... Now i had noticed that there are two springs that touch each dump, now these springs have a ball on one side of the spring..... Now are there supposed to have two balls one on each side or just one.....And also wanted to ask if you have a diagram of the manifold....
