yeah..same thing, different word.

ground = earth
trunk = boot
fender = wing
tire = tyre
gas = petrol

I called it an earth ground when I worked as an electrical contractor working with AC current. It honestly sounds like you have what everybody has said, a bad ground, a bad battery, or just low batteries.

Rick-Ive seen that happen its not pretty, but the guy I know did it between a 15 farad cap and the shock tower in his car.
