Post port sizes

o k i need to kno what is better... a 1/2 port or a 1/4 port?? which one is btter than the other and why?? i kno nothing about this topic and need 2 kno. thanks

Alright bro heres the deal think about this 1/4 inch port or 1/2 inch port? if u had a 4/4 inch port you would have a 1 inch port so break it down. 1/4 is the smallest ports size next up is the 3/8 inch port witch is commonly used for your basic setup where your no lookin for max. pressure
then you have 1/2 inch port size witch is what i have all in all 4 corners, and is commonly used in competion, dancers,hopper, then you have 3/4 inch port size witch is for the hopper or dancer who demands more flow!!! witch is some what new to the game. hope this will help you! it all depends on what you want out of you ride bro!!!!

the industry norm is 1/2 " port.

So all the new kits are strting to use 1/2 inch........


What happened to 3/8 inch?

depending on the company and what they say is there norm.we use 3/8 and if wanted can make it 1/2 or 3/4 on the output.rick is right i should have said 3/8 not 1/2 as the norm.

i wasnt debating you chris. it has been awhile since i purchased a kit. and with all the new Big this and big that, i had assumed most went over to half inch ports......
