Depending on what car it is, chain will get you a standing 3 as will 3 pumps...Wrapping the frame helps but not a guarentee that it will stand 3...

Surely wrapping a frame will only provide rigidity and support, this wont 'make' a car three wheel ! its the hydro set up and weight distribution that will provide the three ?

Calvin,
Im not sure what Chuck told you. But those are 2 entirely different process's.
Putting a bridge with chains in tha back adss strength to the rear of the car by basically adding a crossmember, and a place to weld stuff too. Also acts as a better spring/cylider mount.
It is possible to 3 wheel without chains, but not in that caddy. Also my buddies 79 Cutty wont 3, he has no bridge or chains and 18" cylinders.....
wrapping the frame is just that. makes a ton of difference in the frame strenght. But even though it is a diffrernt thing, making the frame solid will help the transfer by not flexing at the weak points....
It is very early, I hope what I typed is understandable.....
Rick

There are NO chains in my Grand Prix. Also although I wrapped the rear of the frame, this is counteracted by the weight of the reinforcement on the rest of the frame. It was really hard to achieve stationary 3 wheel. The way I beat it was playing with weight dispersement.

If you click on my link below, I had to have a 3rd pump, which i had planned on anyways since my 61 would never power 3. I have seen setups work with 2 but very slow on occassion...I bet i could throw my 3 up quicker than a 2 pump setup but never tested the thought...

lol!! ahh chucky, what like i dont listen to u? the chain, the 13s shit the time i wants air over juice...lol

rick: well see this is why chuck says i dont listen to him. i change my mind cause i hear some many diff. things about how yeah 3s are ok and then 3s are worst then hopping. im like damn i dont want to break my stuff. i just want a nice fbss setup no hopping and shit if its gonna break stuff. and standing 3s but if its too much and gonna be breaking all the time then forget it. i really really want 4 pumps just cause i love the look of 4 pumps. but then i say well ill do 4 pumps 8 batts but 24 volts to each pump so its not super fast but as fast as say 2 pumps 48 volts(half volts/double psi = same right) but then people say it will be slow and run 48 min. and damn u know it just gets crazy.

see thats another thing mike has 6 batts and 3 pumps and sits 3 all day long. why couldnt mine do that? i mean does mine weight that much more then his?

thanks guys
calvin
