Did you’re throttle linage and shifter linage work too? What about the drive line? Is the 3.8 motor and trans the same length as a 350 motor and trans or did you just have to move the motor and trans mounts? I have never done a swap on the G-body but I have custom fit motor/trans in other cars and trucks.

yeah it was a buddy ive known 4 years at the junkyard.the 350 was carbed the linkages al worked with very minor mods,a 350 turbo will mount right up in all gbodies with 200r4 trannies if by chance it has a 700r4 it will not work ,also the 200r4 and 350 turbo your swapping into the car must be a 6 inch tailshaft from a car if it came frome a truck its likely a 9 or 12 inch but its easy to switch the tail.the motor mounts are totally diff, but i wanted solid motor mounts anyway so i made em.now the tranny mount can be tricky but the one i had was off center cause the mount on a 200 metric v-6 tranny the tailshaft mount is off to the side of the tranny,so i cut the mount off the c.member and moved it over like 6 inches...basically its not easy but if u have a donor car with the mounts and c member (if u dont have a welder)it would be.if its ls1 or crossfire then u got problems to swap cause the harnesses have to be changed(comp, and ignition)this swap is probably the easiest ive ever done.i got a cavi with an l67 3.8sc out of a bonneville in it.needless to say that was a year project and the hardest ive ever done but how many cavaliers have u seed do an 11.85 sec quartermile with no goose juice lol...and on stock 15 inch chevy wheels
