Dreamcast is clear as a bell but since i upholstered the vcr housing, and had to remove to the vcr, the vcr is given a constant whistling noise...even when the car is not running??

Did not do this before i installed the upholstry??

I have checked rca's and no luck there??

You know I had the same problem but with my tereo and it prolly has to do with a ground wire but I unhooked the whole thing inspected it and saw nothing wrong, So I put it back in and it worked fine.

check the grounds as mentioned, make sure there is no paint in the way of your contact to the metal surface. should also get some noise rejection cables, dont neeed the "expensive" ones, just the basic twisted pair. the cheapest twisted pair from my experience work pretty much the same as the high priced ones.

this might be far fetched....but vcrs have vents that allow them to cool and not get hot, maybe thats the hotair in the vent goin throu the fabric...

I regrounded it and worked fine...Kinda odd though...works fine now so im happy again!!
