Re: Anybody Ever Use Bass Capacitors ( Lightning Caps)
i run a 3 farad cap in my 200 impala with a 2400 watt rms amp and my lights still go out at night when i'm rollin so pay that extra money and stiffen up ur battery or start replacin alternators when they burn up. not to expensive only like 240 dollars per alt depending on car.

Re: Anybody Ever Use Bass Capacitors ( Lightning Caps)
well im running 4 extra batterys and 3 1-fared caps, one is a digital top.....and all them are in the back close to the amps...and i have a H.O. alternator ...now my lights dont dim,why you ask? because the power is pulled from the closest source, the rear batterys.
i only have a battery cable running to the front to the alt for re-charge/maintain non use current of the batterys. and caps work when a hard ass kick drum,or any loud short bursts of music play. long bass notes that are longer than 5-8 seconds, and can hit hard, are not going to rely on them caps, but the pure power of the batterys. i am planning to replace my 4 extra interstate 850cca batterys with some of the biggest yellow top optimas...hope i get a lil bit more.
