| Registered User | the first thing i would do is up grade my receiver. that is one of the most important parts of your system. as for your subs you can go with any sub as long as it's able to handle the load. you could go with some rockfords, mtx's, jl's and many more. but that head unit is the issue first. |

| aight imma get me a new pioneer 50 or 52x4 receiver. My question is since my amp is a rockford 500bd can i put a sub that has more than 300 rms. Like 400 or maybe even 500 to make sum pounding bass? The paper that came in the box for the amp said the total amount of power was 669. Sumone please help me out. <img src="confused.gif" border="0"> |

| yeah man just get good subs if you dont already... the stated power on the subs is a suggestion more or less, a properly tuned and gained amp of alot of power can be put to the subs, it is distortion that blows subs, not good clean power... Great choice on head units, i love pioneers! Next get a crossover and a small 4 channel amp, that will improve your mids and highs immensely |
