Does anybody know how to take the stock radio out of a 89 accord . I found a website that says to take the two screws out that are behind the ash tray but it still does not come out .

can you take a pic of how it looks...its been awhile but i have worked on those cars before

hmmmmm.....on my 90 the blck housing that goes around all controls pops out

you have to het a screw driver and slightly pop out each corner then pull it out and undo the light wires ect...

that^ probably doesnt help any sorry....

Mike i will get a pic of it . I looked at it for about an hour and I could not fiqure it out .

Rich , I tried prying the trim away from it but It started cracking . I didnt know if it came off or not so i stopped .

I fiqured it out this morning after sticking my fat head up in the dash that there is two small screws in the very back of the radio . Then it just pulled straight out . I thought i was going to have rotate the tires and drop the transmission to get that thing out.
