![]() [/quotif it is a tortion bar thaan thats the prob the bar is twisted in there and take about 1/3 of the weight off of your front it basically works like a spring,i never knew they had tortion bars in these cars????but if it the anti sway bar thats out leave it out it will only slow it down.my old bagged truck (c-10)had the same prob ,i had to run 300 psi just to make it even slightly quick.hope this helps........ |

Re: Need Help ASAP...
Not the best pics but, you tried! Do those bags compress all the way down when the car os dropped? Looks like they have allot of room in there. They should be compressed to about 3 inches when completely dropped. If you can, back up a bit for the next pic so we can see a more overall pic.
heres what mine looks like inflated. ![]() I will try and get it on ramps so you can see how compressed it is when dropped. unless you know your bags compress to about three inches and still wont lift. |

Yeah, I took out both the sway bar and the torsion bars, but I am having the torsion bars put back in to help out with getting the front up. |

dont put the anti sway bar back in it just hurts your response and it makes it harder to three wheel.putting the tortions back will help a great deal,id up the psi just to be safe.i duno if your "guy"know how but if your running a 2 tank setup u can run the blow off from the front to the back tank and vise versa that way you keep your air longer.and your air pumps wont burn up as quick, and yes they do burn up if your a switch bitch like me |

Re: Need Help ASAP...
Picked the car up Friday and I am really glad that we were able to finially make the front work. We ended up putting the torsion bars back in and that seemed to be the key. The front goes up now...at ride height takes about 120-125 PSI in the front. We did end up going with the bags mounted to the upper A-Arms and the set-up looks clean as hell! Im gonna post some pics whenever I can get a camera. I am currently installing my new 120A alternator, so hopefully my 2 480s will be happy. Next step is new convertable top, then rims.
Thanks to everyone who helped me out with advice along the way on this one! |
