Need Your Input!
HOW IS EVERYONE, GOOD I HOPE, IF NOT KEEP PUSHIN CAUSE THERES BRIGHTER DAYS. I KNOW I HAVENT BEEN ON HERE ALOT, JUS BEEN EXTRA BUSY. FINALLY GOT A LIL TIME, SO IM BACK TO MY PROJECT.
OK, SO AS YOU MAY REMEMBER IM TRYING TO BAG A 1994 CADILLAC SEDAN DEVILLE, IVE GATHERED QUITE A BIT OF INFORMATION (IN PART THANKS TO YOU GUYS) AND I KNOW WHAT I NEED AND WANT TO RUN. HERE'S MY CONFLICT, MY CAR HAS STRUTS, SO I HAVE TO RUN A STRUT BAGS. THE ONLY BAG IM ABLE TO FIND IS THIS UVAIR Aero Sport STRUT BAG, WHICH IS ONLY AVAILABLE IN A 1/4" PORT, AND I WANTED TO RUN 1/2" LINES. I'M SURE I COULD ADAPT THE 1/4" PORT TO A 1/2" WITH A FITTING BUT THE 1/4 PORT WOULD STILL BE A HUGE BOTTLENECK, RIGHT? I ALSO THINK I WOULD BLOW THE FITTING RIGHT OUT USING NITROGEN, WHAT DO YOU THINK? HOW DURABLE DO YOU GUYS THINK THESE BAGS ARE, DO YOU THINK THEY CAN HANDLE NITROGEN WITHOUT EXPLODING? THE OTHER OPTION I WAS CONSIDERING IS TO DRILL AND TAP THAT 1/4" PORT TO A 1/2", BAD IDEA? WHAT WOULD BE POSSIBLE PROBLEMS? THANKS IN ADVANCE GUYS |

You can regulate the nitrogen pressure to your liking so you won’t run into any problems with blowing out fitting, most likely you will blow a bag before anything else. Just keep the pressure to what the bags are rated for. I have heard of people drilling and tapping a port bigger but I have never needed to do it. The only problem I see with drilling and tapping is metal shavings in your bag might be a pain in the ass to get or keep out when you do it and if you screw up the you will need a new bag. |

WATS UP SLAM, DAMN ALMOST DIDNT KNO IT WAS YOU WITH THE NEW PIC, I LIKE THAT. OK, IS HE ON THIS SIGHT OFTEN, JAMES? AND OF COURSE WITH THIS BAG I ALSO WOULD LIKE MAX HEIGHT, IM TRYNA SIT AS HIGH AS I CAN AND DO IT FAST! AND ALSO TELL ME IF I CAN DO THIS, I WAS GOIN TO USE A UVAIR Front Bracket kit for MacPherson, THAT UVAIR AERO STRUT BAG, AND CUT UP MY ORIGINAL STRUT FOR MOUNTING. ALL THIS IS ON AIRASSISTED.COM UNDER STRUT BAGS.

Re: Need Your Input!
a lot of good info on that caddy site. I have not yet done a strut bag so I really can't say too much on that. It doesn’t look to hard, and I'm not sure about that strut mounting kit. Jamez was on a lot in the beginning and I see a post just the other day from him, that would be the guy to talk to about bags and mounting brackets.
