Re: valves are sticking
Did you get a pre-wired box? I know the wire for my box is pretty small, not sure of the actual gauge but it works just fine with the wires that came in my box. Since its all your valves i doubt that will be the problem. Run a wire from the battery to the valve and see if you hear it click when you make contact.
As for you dryer........ Get nitrogen!!! ![]() |

Re: valves are sticking
WHAT MAKES VALVES STICK?
Debris in the air system makes valves stick. The number one cause is pipe dope, which should not be used because the residue gets into the system. Teflon tape is great, but you must be VERY CAREFUL to not let any of the tape go into the system. Use a water trap and keep your air clean. Rarely is the valve at fault, it is the installation technique. Debris=sticky valves |

Re: valves are sticking
i have taken the valves apart and no debris. i was very careful with the tape.
as far as wires it was a pre wired box. when the valves click the work but if they don't click when the switch is hit. i can place my hand on the valve and i can feel it trying to move. its like a little tap in my hand. they hang up going up and down. it sucks because it will let me lift but not lower or lower and not lift or all combinations of those two on eace valve just never all working at the same time!!!! LOL nitrogen? Last edited by stenelli; 06-04-2008 at 10:28 PM. |

Re: valves are sticking
Yeah NITROGEN!! you will need a nitrogen bottle, brackets and regulator. as well as fittings but its easy and worth it. your nitrogen will run through you regulator and fill your tanks lickity split!! no waiting for the compressors and you choose what PSI you want to run. another plus is you dont need water traps and water in your tanks is never an issue. Me and slammed just picked up the parts from a welding supply company but i'm sure JAMEZ can hook you up with some parts too. Last edited by 1lowcut; 06-05-2008 at 09:04 AM. |

Re: valves are sticking
It sounds like you have our gold 3/8" 2-position valves. Try double checking your ground. make sure your not getting you 12v supply for your switches from a low amp source (light your lighter). Also make sure your not running over 160psi because thats what those valves max rating is. Is this happening on all your valves or just the one? Try taking the solinoid off a valve thats working fine and switching it with the problem one. if the problem follows the solinoid then check the power and ground for that solinoid. if the problem stays with the valve after switching the solinoids then there could be debri in it. also make sure the airflow matches with the arrow on the valve body.............if all else fails give me a call I'll get you taken care of.........480-668-5448 ext.209.......jz
