Allright has anyone bagged a 68 caddy? What size air bags do I need? he8? he7? 2600's? same front and rear? I got some dayton 20" 150 spokes. And want to begin with this next month. I'm in Orlando, anyone know a shop here to buy stuff instead of ebay?
I'm tired of using the search feature!!!!!! |

Re: 1968 cadillac sedan
I haven’t bagged a caddy but put the biggest bag you can fit. Don’t worry about the 2500 or 2600 bags because you should get the slam specialties bags and they only come in the 2500 style. So as for the brackets and all that I cant help but if you want some tips on how to setup your system post up and we’ll tell you what we know.

Re: 1968 cadillac sedan
Allright got the daytons on there I'll upload a pic tonite. The center caps are hitting the rear wheel covers. Got some sanding done to the body. Thinking of a color maybe blue flakes.
Found a shop in altamonte springs on SR 436 that installs air ride. dosent deal with slam specialties. cost about 2800 to do an S-10. Last edited by smoovmoovs; 06-02-2008 at 12:33 PM. Reason: new info. |

Re: 1968 cadillac sedan
You want to run 2600's front and rear. you can go up to a 3800 in the front to get a better ride and lift at a lower psi. you will need to use a spring pocket eliminator to run the 3800's. the spring pocket eliminator resembles an oversized barrel that welds in place to give more clearance to run the bigger bags. when welded in place the frame is actually more rigid then from the factory.

Re: 1968 cadillac sedan
Thanks for the info. I'm doing some body work now. I should be able to get started on the air n a couple of weeks. Gotta get some new caps for the Daytons cause they dont fit under the wheel well covers.

Re: 1968 cadillac sedan
you probably will have to go with the nut style ones cause even the bullet style ones stick out farther then the 2 or 3 spoke style.........give SHOWTIME a call they are the most reasonable.............
