Rims, go with the 13's. Thats what I would do. Should be easy for you to find pic's of your caddy with different size rims to help make the decision. Valves, go with the 1/2 because you can slow them down to whatever you want but you cant make the smaller ones faster if you wanted to. Nitrogen, is the only way to go. You just dont know what its like untill you have some. Then you will never roll with out it. Main point is you dont have to hear your compressors running all the time and you can hit the switch as much as you want until your nitro tank is empty. Also you control how much PSI you run to your bags. Its always nice to be able to turn that shit up when you go out cruising or at shows. Your factory air leveler system...?.?.?.? Couldnt tell you for sure. I think that your new set up will be to fast for the system to work with. At one point I had an Air Ride Tech setup that had the ECU and I could not use the pre set height on that either because it would just WAY overshoot where it was supposed to be at. If i were you I would look more into that and just assume not to use it. I assume you will be wanting the smooth caddi like ride so dont forget to purchase front shock relocator's. Bags, I will say Slam Specialties, but be sure to get ones that will handle what you are going to be putting in them. They make a 200PSI bag but i would recomend getting the 400's just because if you add nitro you WILL turn it up just to see. And once that happens chances are you will be rolling over 200 most of the time. I roll at least 250 all the time and if i dont have nitro i dont go out. Hope this helps a bit. I dont have internet at home, but i'll get back to you with any answers you need when i'm at work. Oh yeah....... the price for your set up is more likely to be 1500-2000. Try to get some deals on ebay if you can. That will help. To add the nitro will be 4-500 alone. You have to buy the tank, regulator and all the fittings. If you do this dont forget a ball valve to put in off the regulator so you dont have to drain your tanks to switch bottles. Last edited by 1lowcut; 12-26-2007 at 01:07 PM. |

Re: Baggin my 87 Brougham (Questions)
Sorry it has taking so long I was just to busy to be on the computer.
1lowcut and I roll together both of the air setup in his car and my car are almost the same, so everything he said I would have said also. I would roll 13” wires if the caddy was mine. I just like the look of that wheel on that style caddy. YES you can adjust the suspention when you are driving. I can gas hop my Impala with bag and I can do a good rolling 3-wheel also. You will need to do some research on the factory air ride I have never installed a are set up on a caddy but I have seen caddys with aftermarket air setups. You can pick up a repair manual and it should tell you how the air setup work. If I’m not mistaken the you will need to disable the factory compressor and when you do that a light will come on in you dash telling you that there is something wrong with you factory air ride, now I know on the newer caddys that will happen but on your’s I’m not sure in it is monitor by the computer. If it is not monitor by the computer then you don’t have to worry about any light coming on in the dash bcouse it won’t happen. You will need to call the dealer or talk to some people that has the same year car that put in juice or call some air ride stores and ask if they have ever done your year caddy. Like I said you will need to do some research. Most air setup are universal the hard part is finding bag brackets. Like 1lowcut said l plan on spending at least $1,500. |
